Margot Uson is the President of AlternaSolutions. A senior human resources executive, Margot has extensive experience in designing and implementing HR business plans, work processes and initiatives to attract, retain and motivate key people. Margot is supported by a strong team of professionals who possess a wide range of human resources and business expertise.

Margot Uson

Margot Uson is a human resources consultant with over 20 years experience. Her career in industry has been at the management and executive levels, where she was responsible for Canadian as well as international HR activities in large, multinational organisations. She has participated in international task forces for the creation of global HR policy and strategy, and in the design and implementation of HR systems and processes. Margot has managed the HR side of mergers, plant closures and business consolidations. As well, she has designed and implemented performance management systems, recruitment strategies, employee communications programs, management coaching, development and succession planning, HR department process and workflow analysis, benefits, pension plans, employee assistance programs, corporate policies and employee handbooks, and separation package negotiation.

Margot specializes in identifying, creating and implementing human resource systems, programs and policies targeted to attract, motivate and retain organizational talent. Margot has a degree in Psychology from Concordia University, and has completed extensive executive and management training programs at Harvard and Queen's Universities.



Michael hiles

A. Michael Hiles

A. Michael Hiles has over 20 years of Human Resource and Compensation experience at both the strategic planning and implementation stages. He has developed compensation, incentive and benefit programs for financial institutions and high tech organizations. As a consultant, Michael has developed compensation and benefits programs for a variety of organizations in the private and public sector. Michael's experience includes all aspects of Human Resource management from guiding management on strategy and policy design, to implementing many forms of Human Resource programs, to performing due dilligence studies involved in corporate mergers. Michael has developed systems applications to deliver rewards to employees and to provide management with analysis capacity through HR information systems. He has developed and managed international Human Resource projects, including start-ups in Hong Kong, Brazil, Romania and Eastern Europe, as well as expatriate compensation and management issues. Michael has a Bachelor and Masters degree in Physics from Concordia University and extensive studies in Economics and Accounting at McGill University.



Karen Diaz Biography

Karen Diaz

Karen Diaz is an Organizational Change Specialist committed to working with clients to plan and facilitate change efforts in order to be successful in today’s and tomorrow's competitive environment. Karen has worked in Canada with private and public sector organizations such as: Bell Canada, Cognos, Nortel, SNC Lavalin, Human Resource Development Canada, The Department of Indian Affairs, Veterans Affairs Canada, Transport Canada, Industry Canada, Mohawk Council of Kahnawake, Economic Development Commission of Kahnawake, Literacy Unlimited, Revenue Canada, Department of Fisheries and Oceans. Internationally, she has facilitated training sessions for employees in India, the Russian Federation, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Nicaragua and Honduras.

Karen’s experience includes developing and delivering training sessions in the areas of change management; leadership development; building a team culture; conflict resolution; diversity in the workplace; organizational development and employee development; management consulting skills: process consulting, training and development, international development, and implementation of diversity initiatives; extensive experience in cross-cultural and international contexts with inter-disciplinary teams. (Honduras, Nicaragua, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, India, Romania, Russia Federation and Canada); implementing training plans; strategic plans, and performance management programs.

Karen has a Masters in Education in Administration and Policy Studies from McGill University. She is presently pursuing her Doctorate degree. She teaches a graduate level course in Trans-cultural Leadership at McGill University. She is a certified trainer for Situational Leadership II and MBTI.



Diane Larouche Biography

Diane holds more than fifteen years of experience in the public and healthcare sector having worked with large organizations such as Pfizer, Glaxo/Wellcome, Astra/Zeneca, Johnson & Johnson and Boerhinger Ingelheim in the areas of Sales, Management, Training and Marketing. After a successful career in managing large complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams in launching and managing the growth of healthcare products in the Canadian market place, Diane pursued her career in the areas of change management and leadership to help organizations better address apparent and hidden dynamics that contribute to slowing or blocking performance.

Well informed on the complexities of systems, visionary, versatile, energetic and results oriented, Diane founded the enterprise CO-ACTION. As President, Diane has given herself the mission to support leaders to successfully plan and manage organizational change, to better integrate the human element in the process and optimize human potential, to develop leaders and foster organizational cultures that generate greater collaboration, employee engagement and empowerment.

Diane offers a personalized approached that is based on action and experiential learning to produce quick and sustainable results through a process of reflection, awareness, understanding and, change of self, groups and others around.

Diane holds a Master degree in Organizational Development, a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, a certificate in Executive Coaching and Emotional Intelligence, qualifications for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and other psychometric testing. She is also a member of the International Coaching Federation.
